Its been a long time since we’ve been able to come together with our friends and family. As more and more people get vaccinated, restrictions are being relaxed, and for the first time in quite a while we are able to gather together as family.
Unfortunately, it just so happened to coincide with a few cooler days in the low teens and twenties, in the middle of a prolonged 30+ heat wave. Luckily we weren’t there for the weather. It was a quick getaway, but were able to enjoy some walks, ice cream, bakery goodies, cooking wieners over the campfire, and a whole lot of noise! After months of solitude however it was like music to the ears. (Well, being honest it was more the equivalent to the “music” a grade 7 band makes at their first concert, but we’ll call it music).
